A Brief overview of the Center
History
Furniture & Decoration Association’s Applied – Science Education Centre was established in 2009. The center was granted operating permit by the Applied Science University and the Ministry of Industry, Mining & Commerce. The Centre was to offer Bachelor and Masters Curriculum as a department within the Applied Science University.
Objective
The association of furniture & Decoration launched the Centre in order to respond to ever growing need of the industry for skilled manpower and to facilitate the quality & quantity improvement of the produced products.
The Centre further aimed to educate the workforce by elevating the skills and scientific knowledge of the students utilizing experience faculty, educational facilities, workshops and most importantly, by creating a lively and motivational atmosphere. The Centre has put specific emphasis on utilization of ingenuity and creativity of producers, expansion of business venues both within the country and also strengthening regional and international appearances by implementing policies to facilitate production increase.
Center’s Goals
1. To enhance the knowledge and professional skills of workforce involve with the furniture & decoration industry.
2. To educate the specialists with the scientific & practical aspects of the furniture & decoration industry
3. To help blossom the existing talent in the active workforce in the industry
4. To coordinate existing workforce in the furniture industry with the modern methods and practices for conducting scientific and practical work compatible with the global standards.
5. To create a framework for the development of education and scientific research applications in the furniture & decoration industry.
